Harry Carson (Earl Hindman, Wilson from Home Improvement) has made it to his hotel room the night before his class reunion, and he gets wasted, then dies of a heart attack. But as you’d guess from this being on Tales from the Darkside, the story isn’t over. An angel and a devil argue over his soul, with the side of good taking the form of Harry’s best friend, Aldo Anderson (David Groh, Joe Gerard from Rhoda), and evil inhabiting his sister-in-law, Doris Kramer (Jane Summerhays). The duo manages to revive Harry and proceeds to put him to a test of morality and see if he goes to heaven or hell.
What will we learn? How about this same angel and demon were on the Titanic on the night it sank, the former in steerage and the latter in first class. And no matter how much good and evil hate each other, they totally hook up, kick our protagonist out of his room, and get it on.
One of three episodes directed by John Lewis, this was written by Peter O’Keefe.
