BONUS! Watch a Roger Corman movie to celebrate his 100th birthday!
Cirio H. Santiago directs, Jenny Sleighton (Cec Verrell, Hell Comes to Frogtown) stars and Silk opens like Cobra, going against the grain and the rules to get the criminals. Then she goes up against drug dealers like Carnahan (David Light, Future Hunters), who is running a scam on his boss, Austin (Peter Shilton, Equalizer 2000), who is smuggling in more bad guys and giving them new Hawaiian identities. This brings in killing machines Tyler (Nick Nicholson) and Vernon (Ronnie Patterson), who start killing other criminals and cops. Silk gets help from Detective Yashi (Joe Mari Avellana). Complicating the bust? Silk’s fellow officer and lover, Tom Stevens (Bill McLaughlin, Naked Vengeance), served in Vietnam with the criminal scum!
What’s a girl to do?
The bad guys kind of suck. The Philippines aren’t Hawaii. But Verrell is awesome in this. Silk 2 would come out a few years later, but it had Monique Gabrielle in it instead.
