Jerome S. Kaufmann directed Teenage Hitchhikers under the pseudonym Gerri Sedley.
As Claude Goddard, he made the adult movies Teenager Step-mother, Barbie’s Fantasy, Couples, Abduction of an American Playgirl and Winter Heat. He also wrote under the name Rod Whipple.
Mouse (Chris Jordan, billed as Kathie Christopher, but she’s also Kathie Fitch from Misty, Abigail Lesley Is Back In Town and The Taking of Christina, Kathie Everett in Massage Parlor Murders! and Cris Jordan in Deep Throat Part II) and Bird (Sandra Peabody, Mari from The Last House on the Left) are inspired by a late-night Clark Gable flick and head out on the highway, westbound but nowhere to go. No money, either.
Along the way, they pick up a virgin tagalong named Jenny (Nikki Lynn) after saving her from a rapist—not by calling the cops, but by ruthlessly insulting his technique, making him feel profoundly inadequate and tying him to a tree — before this goes episodic. You get a burger-joint striptease, a traveling underwear salesman (Peter Carew), a wealthy lesbian getting fleeced, a car salesman used for a free ride and an orgy where Marc Stevens, Kristin Steen and Eric Edwards show up.
Mouse and Bird are as liberated as it gets while playing right into an exploitation movie, so this has its cake and rubs it all over its breasts, too. This movie has the last part of gas, grass or ass covered.
Margaret Whitton plays Sola Alcoa, who would later buy the Cleveland Indians in the Major League movies.
I have no more facts.
