Yeah, you may be dealing with family stuff now, but Saturday belongs to the Drive-In Asylum Double Feature! Allow us to make you feel better after all the carbs and arguments and guilt with two absolutely wild movies.

Everything gets started at 8 PM EST on the Groovy Doom Facebook or YouTube pages. Get ready for movies, drinks, ads and to meet Matt Bussell from The Horrible Horror Show.

Up first — Simon King of the Witches which you can find on Tubi.

Here’s the drink recipe for this week’s show.

Positive Negative Warlock (taken from this recipe)

  • 2 oz. scotch whiskey
  • 1/2 oz. amaretto
  • Slice of lemon
  1. Mix over ice and add a slice of lemon. That’s it!

Our second movie is Luigi Cozzi’s alien goo freakfest Contamination which is on Tubi.

Alien Eye (taken from this recipe)

  • 2 oz. Midori
  • 1 oz. lemon juice
  • 1 oz. lime juice
  • Club soda, to taste
  • Lemon-lime soda, to taste
  1. Shake midori, lemon juice and lime juice with ice, then pour into a glass filled with ice.
  2. Top with club soda and lemon-lime soda to taste. Don’t take a shower around an alien egg!

Shirley Temple Black Room

  • 1.75 cups club soda
  • 1.5 oz. Campari
  • 1 oz. grenadine
  • .5 oz. lime juice
  • 2-4 drops orange bitters
  1. Pour club soda, Campari, grenadine and lime juice in a glass filled with ice, then stir gently.
  2. Add orange bitters and an extra splash of club soda, then get a blood transfusion from your sister.

Oh man, I’m beyond excited for The Eerie Midnight Horror Show AKA Enter the Devil. I have a lot to say about this movie and am so happy you’ll be watching it with me. You can get it on YouTube.

L’Ossessa AKA Devil Obsession

  • 1.5 oz. tequila
  • .75 oz. lime juice
  • .75 oz. simple syrup
  • Splash of red wine
  1. Shake up tequila, lime juice and simple syrup with ice until chilled, then pour in a glass.
  2. Pour wine over, climb down off a cross and go wild.

Cannibal Train

  • 1 oz. tequila
  • .5 oz. triple sec
  • 2 oz. white grape juice
  • Grenadine
  1. Shake up all ingredients with ice other than grenadine.
  2. Pour over ice and top with drops of grenadine to taste.

After that, well, it’s time for some Naschy. You can watch The Werewolf vs. Vampire Woman on Tubi.

El Hombre Lobo Paloma

  • 2 oz. tequila
  • 4 oz. red grapefruit juice
  • 2 oz. Squirt or grapefruit soda (or seltzer if you can’t find those)
  • 1/2 oz. lime juice
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • Kosher salt
  1. Rim glass with salt.
  2. Mix grapefruit juice, lime juice and sugar in glass, then stir until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Stir in tequila, add ice and top with soda.

  • 1 oz. vanilla vodka (you can also substitute Birthday Cake vodka or straight vodka or even vanilla rum)
  • 1 oz. Frangelico
  • 1 oz. pineapple juice
  • 1 oz. cranberry juice
  • 1/2 oz. cream of coconut
  1. Add all ingredients to a shaker filled with ice and then shake gently twice.
  2. Pour over ice and get ready to sing.

  • 1 oz. vodka
  • 1/2 oz. amaretto
  • 1/2 oz. orange juice
  • 1.5 oz. club soda
  • 1 oz. grendine
  • Frozen berries
  1. Shake vodka and amaretto in a shaker with ice. Fill a glass with frozen berries and ice, then stir in orange juice and club soda.
  2. Drop grenadine in like blood.

  • 1 oz. spiced rum
  • 1 oz. Malibu rum
  • 2 oz. orange juice
  • 1 oz. cranberry juice
  • 1/2 oz. 99 Bananas
  • 1/2 oz. lemon juice
  • Maraschino cherries
  1. Build over ice in a large glass. Top with cherries.

  • 1 oz. rum
  • 1 oz. Malibu coconut rum
  • 1 oz. Midori
  • 1 oz. blue caraçao
  • 4 oz. pineapple juice
  • .5 oz. cream of coconut
  • Maraschino cherries
  1. Mix the rums and midori in a glass, then top with pineapple juice and ice.
  2. Float blue caraçao on top, then throw in some cherries.

  • 4 oz. orange juice
  • 1.5 oz. Campari
  • 1 oz. vodka
  • .5 oz. lemon juice
  • .5 oz. simple syrup
  • 1 egg white
  1. Add all of your ingredients to a shaker without ice and shake for 15 seconds, then add ice and shake for another 15 seconds.
  2. Pour over ice and enjoy.
