IT’S THE NIGHT OF THE WITCH (AND UNCLE SPOOKY) ON THE DRIVE-IN ASYLUM DOUBLE FEATURE

Bill and Sam are joined by Uncle Spooky this week for two witchy films this Saturday at 8 PM EST on the Groovy Doom Facebook and YouTube pages. We’ll discuss the films, share the newspaper ads and make some drinks. All you have to do is show up ready to cast some spells. Or drink.

Up first, Mark of the Witch, a 1970 freakout made for the drive-in. You can find it on Tubi.

Here’s the drink recipe!

White Witch (Trader Vic recipe)

  • 2 oz. light rum
  • .5 oz. triple sec
  • .5 oz. crème de cacao
  • .5 oz. lime juice
  • 3 oz. club soda
  1. Pour everything except for the club soda in a glass filled with ice and stir.
  2. Top with club soda and stay inside the pentagram.

One more drink!

Witchhammer (from this recipe)

  • 4 oz. whiskey
  • 2 oz. pomegranate juice
  • 2 oz. lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp. grenadine
  1. Pour all ingredients over ice and stir.
  2. Drink up and watch out for Witchfinder Hopkins.
