Up first, one of the most insane movies ever made, Death Bed: The Bed That Eats. You can download it from the Internet Archive.

Each week, we show ads for the movies, discuss the films and also make cocktails that match what we watch. Here’s the first recipe.

Death In Bed (taken from this recipe)

  • 1 oz. Fireball
  • 1 oz. butternut schnapps
  • 1 oz. orange juice
  1. Mix all ingredients and ice in a shaker.
  2. Strain into a shot glass and enjoy.

Our second movie is the third — well, kinda — Count Yorga, Deathmaster. You can watch it on YouTube (in seven parts).

Vampire Sunrise

  • 2 oz. tequila
  • 4 oz. orange juice
  • 1/4 oz. grenadine
  • Maraschino cherry
  1. Pour tequila and orange juice in a glass over ice.
  2. Inject the grenadine blood and watch it drip to the bottom of the glass.

The (Green) Eyes of Laura Mars

  • 3/4 oz. Midori
  • 1 oz. rum
  • 1/2 oz. lime juice
  • 1 1/2 oz. pineapple juice
  • 1/2 oz. Malibu coconut rum
  1. Pour all ingredients over crushed ice.
  2. Stir and freak out at your next shoot.

Schizoid Scissors

  • 1 oz. lime juice
  • 2 oz. Jägermeister
  • Lemon lime soda.
  1. Pour lime juice and Jägermeister over ice.
  2. Top with lemon lime soda.

Sex On the Phone

  • 1 oz. vodka
  • 1 oz. sour apple schnapps (or peach if you can’t find it)
  • 1/2 oz. Southern Comfort
  • 1/2 oz. blue curacao
  • 1 oz. Midori
  • 2 oz. orange juice
  1. Shake all ingredients with ice except for orange juice.
  2. Pour into a glass, then top with orange juice.

Here’s the next drink.

The Operator

  • 1/2 oz. vodka
  • 1 oz. Midori
  • 1/2 oz. rum
  • 4 oz. grapefruit juice
  • 2 oz. orange juice
  • 1/2 oz. lime juice
  1. Add all ingredients to a blender and mixed with ice until thick.
  2. Pour into a glass and let the phone ring.

Pharaoh Sefirama

  • 2 oz. vodka
  • 1 oz. triple sec
  • 1 tbsp. lemon juice
  • Club soda
  1. Have a fashion shoot outside of a cursed pyramid.
  2. Fill a glass half-full with ice, then pour in vodka, triple sec and lemon juice. Top with club soda to taste.

Farancksalan Cocktail

  • 1 oz. Midori
  • 1 oz. gin
  • 1 oz. Malibu rum
  • 1 oz. pineapple juice
  • 1 oz. orange juice
  • Maraschino cherry
  1. Mix all ingredients in a shaker packed with ice.
  2. Pour into a glass, then top with a Maraschino cherry.

  • 1 oz. light rum
  • 1 oz. dark rum
  • 1 oz. pineapple juice
  • 1 oz. grapefruit juice

  • Juice of one lemon
  • Maraschino cherry
  • Orange slice
  1. Shake all your liquor and juices over ice.
  2. Top with a maraschino cherry, a slice of orange and whisper a prayer to Mount Olympus (and Italy).

  • 2 oz. vodka
  • 2 oz. rum
  • 2 oz. triple sec
  • 2 oz. orange juice
  • 2 oz. pineapple juice
  • 1 oz. sweet and sour mix
  • Splash of lemon-lime soda
  1. Mix all ingredients except sweet and sour mix and soda in a shaker with ice.
  2. Pour over crushed ice, then top with sweet and sour mix and soda.

Blood Beach

  • 1.5 oz. vodka
  • .5 oz. peach schnapps
  • 1 oz. orange juice
  • 1 oz. pineapple juice
  • 1.5 oz. cranberry juice
  • 1 tbsp. grenadine
  1. Mix all ingredients except grenadine in a shaker with ice.
  2. Think wistfully of Marianne Hill or John Saxon as you shake it, then pour over ice and top with a bloody bit of grenadine.

  • 1.5 oz. Malibu rum
  • 1 oz. blue curacao
  • .5 oz. Coco Real
  1. Mix all ingredients in a shaker with ice.
  2. Pour over crushed ice and drink fast so this movie makes sense.

  • 5 oz. cola
  • 1 oz. Southern Comfort
  • .5 oz. peach schnapps
  • .25 oz. lime juice
  1. Pour Southern Comfort over ice.
  2. Add the other ingredients and say a prayer for Joan Collins.

  1. Pour vodka, blue curacao and creme de menthe in a glass filled with ice.
  2. Top with soda and apologize to Joe Dante.

  2. Wonder why that machine is making that noise and pour the shaker into a glass, then add the orange juice.

  • 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
  1. Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice and shake ’em up good.
  2. Pour into a glass and beware the K Zones.

  1. Add all ingredients to a shaker and pretend you’re a maniac that is strangling co-eds.
  2. Put on your roller skates and enjoy.
