Every week, we watch two movies, discuss them, take a look at their ad campaigns and have two themed cocktails. Here’s the first drink, taken straight from Universal Studios!

Shark Attack

  • 2 oz. Malibu rum
  • 1 oz. Blue Curacao
  • 4 oz. pineapple juice
  • 1 oz. lemon lime soda
  • Dash of grenadine
  • Maraschino cherry
  • Gummy shark
  1. Shake rum, curacao and pineapple juice in a shaker with ice.
  2. Pour in a glass. Top with soda, then drop in a shark and a cherry. Add blood in the water with the grenadine. You’re gonna need a bigger glass.

Unsane

  • 1.5 oz. blackberry lemonade moonshine (or you can use vodka)
  • 4 oz. lemonade (3 oz. water, .5 oz. lemon juice, .5 oz. simple syrup)
  • .5 oz. lemon juice
  • 2 oz. club soda
  • .25 oz. black food coloring
  1. Mike all ingredients over ice.
  2. Stir and stand in the rain screaming while you drink this.

  • 2 oz. Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey
  • 1 oz. Chambord
  • ,5 oz. Frangelico
  1. Pour all ingredients in a glass with ice.
  2. Stir and savor.

The second movie is the Canadian strangeness known as Beyond the Seventh Door. You can watch it on Tubi and YouTube.

  • 1.5 oz. Absolut Citron
  • 6 oz. 7-Up
  • Lemon and lime slices
  1. Slice lemons and limes and place over crushed ice.
  2. Pour ingredients together and stir.

Regine

  • .5 oz. gin
  • .5 oz. white rum
  • .5 oz. tequila
  • .5 oz. vodka
  • .5 oz. Cointreau
  • .75 oz. Midori
  • .5 oz. lime juice
  • .25 oz. simple syrup
  • 2 oz. Mountain Dew
  1. Pour all ingredients except Mountain Dew in a shaker with ice.
  2. Shake it up, then pour in a glass. Top with Mountain Dew.

  • 1 oz. tequila
  • 1 oz. 99 Bananas
  • 3 oz. orange juice
  • .5 oz. lime juice
  1. Pour all ingredients into a shaker with ice.
  2. Shake it up and pour over a pyramid of crushed ice.

  • 1.5 oz. tequila
  • 1 oz. blue curacao
  • .5 oz. orgeat or almond syrup
  • 6 oz. limeonade (I make mine with the juice of a lime, .5 oz. simple syrup and 5 oz. water)
  1. Pour all the ingredients in a glass filled with ice.
  2. Don’t drop the key and mix this up instead.

The second movie is Bad Dreams, which is Freddy without Freddy yet also completely awesome at being its own movie too. You can watch it on the Internet Archive.

Unity Fields

  • 1.5 oz. Fireball
  • 1.5 oz. Sour Apple Pucker
  • 3 oz. pineapple juice
  1. Add everything to your shaker with ice and shake it up.
  2. Don’t set yourself on fire and drink this instead.

Spanish Zombie

  • 1 oz. Midori
  • 1 oz. Malibu rum
  • 1 oz. spiced rum
  • .5 oz. apricot brandy
  • .5 oz. Cointreau
  • 3 oz. orange juice
  • 2 oz. pineapple juice
  • .5 oz. lime juice
  • Mint
  1. Shake all ingredients like you’re on a boat surrounded by fog and the waves have grown larger.
  2. Pour over crushed ice and top with mint.

The next movie is a Paul Naschy werewolf film that is listed as Night of the Howling Beast. It’s also known as The Curse of the Beast, The Werewolf and the Yeti and Hall of the Mountain King. You can watch it on Tubi.

Werewolf In Tibet

  • .5 oz. 99 Bananas
  • 1.5 oz. cherry brandy
  • .75 oz. lemon juice
  • 2 oz. iced tea
  • .5 oz. orgeat or almond syrup
  1. Shake all ingredients in a shaker with ice as if you’re battling a yeti in an ice cave.
  2. Pour it out, savor it and dream of Paul Naschy’s lustrous hair.

  • 2 oz. vodka
  • .5 oz. Chambord
  • .5 oz. peach schnapps
  • 3 oz. apple juice
  • ,5 oz. lemon juice
  1. Shake all ingredients in a shaker with ice in your rocket fist.
  2. Pour over crushed ice in your glass, then drink up.

The second movie is Warriors of the Wasteland, which I feel is one of the best Mad Max ripoffs ever. You can watch it on Tubi.

Here’s the second drink, which…wow. Yeah, get ready.

Scorpion

  • 3 oz. passion fruit juice
  • 3 oz. pineapple juice
  • 3 oz. orange juice
  • 2 oz. lemon juice
  • .5 oz. dark rum
  • .5 oz. Malibu rum
  • .5 oz. high proof rum (151 or Hurricane Proof)
  • .5 oz. Passoa
  • .5 oz. gin
  • .25 oz. maraschino cherry juice
  • Maraschino cherries
  • Frozen pineapple chunks
  • Orange slices
  1. Pour all the ingredients, other than the fruit, in a large glass filled with crushed ice.
  2. Stir, add in fruit and beware the Templars.
