Two shows in one week? You know it. This Saturday night, we’re thrilled to welcome filmmaker Jack Perez (Some Guy Who Kills People, Wild Things 2, Mega Shark Vs. Giant Octopus) to the show for two spectacular drive-in classics from the 70s, Grizzly and The Manitou, directed by the legendary William Girdler. The show starts at 8 PM on the Groovy Doom Facebook or YouTube channels.

Grizzly is on Tubi and it’s awesome.

Grizzly Bear

  • 1 oz. amaretto
  • 1 oz. Jägermeister
  • 1 oz. Bailey’s
  • 2 1/2 oz. milk
  1. Pour it all over ice.
  2. That’s it. Maybe don’t get mauled.

Misquamacus 

  • 4 oz. watermelon juice
  • 1.5 oz. tequila
  • .5 oz. triple sec
  • .5 oz. lime juice
  • 1 tsp. honey
  1. Pour all ingredients over crushed ice.
  2. Stir and get ready to enjoy. If you want to make it in a blender, well, “You’re gonna play King of the Mountain with that Mixmaster!”

Cuckoo Birds

  • 2 oz. whiskey
  • 1 oz. cream de coconut
  • 3 oz. almond milk
  • 3 oz. pear juice
  • 1.5 tsp. turmeric powder
  1. Shake with ice in a cocktail shaker.
  2. Strain into a glass and enjoy.

  • 1 oz. Malibu coconut rum
  • 1 oz. Watermelon Pucker
  • 3 oz. pineapple juice
  • 3 oz. watermelon juice
  1. Put all the ingredients with ice in a cocktail shaker.
  2. Shake it like you’re Anna falling off a rollercoaster. Ignore the spoiler and drink it.

  • 1.5 oz. vanilla vodka
  • 1.5 oz. Triple Sec

  • .75 oz. Orgeat or almond syrup
  • .75 oz. lime juice
  1. Shake it up in a cocktail shaker with ice.
  2. Imagine you are Bruno Mattei, making your zombie movie with music taken from a zombie movie, then shake the cocktail.

  1. Imagine that a cat is inside the cocktail shaker. Now, replace that with the ingredients. Be nice to cats! Shake it up with ice.
  2. Serve over ice.

Sleepy LaBeef

  • 2 oz. Chambord
  • 1 oz. Midori
  • 1 oz. Malibu
  • 2 oz. pineapple juice
  • 2 oz. cranberry juice
  1. Pour Chambord as the first layer over crushed ice, then layer Midori over it.
  2. Mix your Malibu and juices in a shaker, then carefully pour it over the layers. Stir to create a marbled texture.
